We offer a variety of classes at Sew Kenso including Adults – both Day and Evening classes – and Kids/Teens After School classes. Sew Kenso is always looking to adjust existing classes and create new adventures depending on the feedback from our customers.
Event Name
Kids / Teens School Holiday Program
Sew Kenso offers a variety of holiday programs aimed at students from 9 years of age to teenagers. We pride ourselves on our popular and expansive lessons that cater for many ages offering different and varied projects that are determined by age and experience.
We recommend that you contact us prior to booking so students are in the appropriate class.
Students will construct their own project to take home. The item will be chosen in accordance with the particular class’s level and age grouping and will be advised at the time of booking. We provide the equipment for each activity except when the choice requires a large amount of fabric. We will advise you of what will be needed in terms of meterage and type of fabric. Fabric choice in design and colour adds momentum for a student’s desire for a unique personal style where the garment will be worn and loved. We also recommend that if the student has use of a sewing machine at home, that they bring it with them to class as it helps with their proficiency in sewing on that machine on their own in the future. However, we also have machines that they can use. Sew Kenso has small class sizes and a high teacher/student ratio enabling each student to gain the personal attention necessary for them to learn the correct way rather than pick up bad habits in sewing. We aim to teach a love of sewing in a fun and informative way.

As with any private tuition class, we will cater for the individual student’s needs, whether it be an adult requiring help gaining that professional finish to complete a long standing project they may have started some time before or a younger person who needs help in direction, techniques, and inspiration.
